I once had a customer order a Cinnamon Annie Doll for a little girl who was soon to become a big sister.

Her grandmother wanted her to have her own baby to care for when the new baby came to join to the family.

Child psychologists say that caring for a doll can help children prepare themselves for the change in their position in a growing family in the following ways:

*Role play how to hold the baby

*Learn to be a helper by practicing fetching diapers, wipes, towels, etc.

* Practice interacting with a baby by making funny faces and singing to the doll.

Playing with dolls can be a fun and gentle way to help soon to be big sister or brother adjust to their new sibling.
